Job Summary

The Clinical Dietitian provides comprehensive nutrition care to patients on an as-needed basis. Ensuring the nutritional needs of individual patients are met and all documentation related to their nutritional status is complete and accurate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts patient nutrition assessments on assigned patient populations.
  • Develops and implements plans for nutrition intervention in accordance with the Nutrition Care Process.
  • Conducts rounding to drive patient satisfaction.
  • Assesses educational needs and identifies barriers to learning.
  • Provides nutrition counseling for individuals and groups, adapting teaching methods to meet patient learning needs.
  • Evaluates achievement of learning objectives by the patient and/or family.
  • Provides follow-ups in accordance with patient treatment goals, referring patients for outpatient counseling, community, or home health services as appropriate.
  • Delivers strong operational performance by executing against Aramark standards and regulatory agency standards and programs.
  • Works cooperatively with medical staff and food and nutrition services staff to ensure conformance to prescribed nutrition care orders.
  • Provides education on food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
  • Documents nutrition care plans in patient medical records, including nutrition assessment, diagnosis, plan, implementation, and progress towards goals.
  • Maintains clinical productivity standards and accurate record keeping of daily clinical activities.
Qualifications
  • Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with coursework accredited or approved by the appropriate nutrition and dietetics agencies.
  • Earns and maintains applicable certifications, registrations, licenses, credentials, and continuing education requirements by the appropriate accredited local agencies.
  • Formal eligibility to practice dietetics in the geographic location where applicable.
