Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join the AWS Marketing Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key member of a fast-growing division within Amazon.

This role will support the WW AWS Marketing organization to drive growth of the AWS business by providing analytical insights to business and finance leaders, driving core financial and business processes, and goal setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality, data-driven financial analyses that drive business insights and support informed decision-making by leadership.
  • Develop relationships with business teams, implement new processes, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Partner with stakeholders, including Accounting, Finance Technology, Treasury, and Tax, to identify opportunities and business requirements for financial systems, process improvement, and technology innovation/automation.
  • Drive planning and forecasting cycles for the AWS Marketing organization.

The successful candidate will have shown experience in past roles influencing senior business leaders and supporting decision-making in rapidly evolving environments.

This role requires a self-starter with strong modeling skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

This role also has regular interaction with executives and various business units across Amazon, requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause, and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience.
  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience.
  • MBA, or CPA.
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
  • 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience.
  • 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience.
  • 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience.
  • 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.

The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company.
