Key Responsibilities:The selected candidate will oversee project execution and personnel management, contributing to the expansion of our Construction Services division.
- Possess a robust background in Construction and Contract Administration, with the ability to lead and develop a team of field personnel.
- Demonstrate familiarity with design standards and actively seek to generate business opportunities for WSB.
- Provide comprehensive project management, oversight, and administration for various construction projects at the Federal, State, County, and City levels.
- Engage in proposal development, staff scheduling, and management duties.
- Perform both office and field contract administration tasks, including plan development, budget oversight, schedule management, and project documentation.
- Maintain communication with clients, contractors, public agencies, and private stakeholders, while ensuring a thorough understanding of contracts and construction documents.
- Possess knowledge of State and Federal Contract Administration processes.
- Contribute to WSB's Construction and Design Build Services Group, ensuring successful project delivery through field visits and compliance verification.
- Work on diverse project delivery methods, including Design Build, CMGC, ID/IQ, and conventional Bid/Build projects, enhancing your career in a dynamic work environment.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution, with licensure in Minnesota or the ability to obtain it within six months; or a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management with four years of relevant experience; or a minimum of 10 years of experience managing highway, bridge, and related projects.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Extensive experience (ten years or more) with knowledge of material properties, MnDOT specifications, and contract administration practices, along with prior design/build experience.
- Proficiency in project management, client relations, and staff oversight, with a willingness to travel as necessary.
- The capability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Candidates must be prepared to work in various weather conditions and handle physical tasks, including lifting, stooping, kneeling, and working in confined spaces or on uneven terrain.
