Job Title: Construction Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to join our team at Stantec. As a Construction Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and document contractor's work to ensure compliance with approved documents.
  • Establish and implement office procedures for the administration of construction contracts.
  • Implement project controls for the distribution and record-keeping of construction drawings, contract correspondence, technical records, and other project documents.
  • Monitor and document contractor's work for compliance with project safety standards.
  • Coordinate testing on projects.
  • Coordinate project construction staking.
  • Review shop drawings and submittals.
  • Conduct regular construction meetings with contractors, owners, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare monthly or semi-monthly payment requests.
  • Prepare and issue change orders on contracts.
  • Conduct field evaluations and assessments as required.
  • Coordinate with owners, contractors, and design teams.
  • Perform final inspections.
Qualifications:
  • Experience with construction principles, techniques, and procedures, occupational hazards, and safety precautions.
  • Understanding of basic construction surveying and staking procedures.
  • Ability to obtain MNDOT, NDDOT, and/or WISDOT certifications.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team setting.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Education and Experience:
  • Four-year degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • 0-5 years of construction inspection experience or experience as a Construction Manager.
