Job Title: Accountant/Accounts Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant/Accounts Manager to join our team at ABC Bookkeeping & Business Support. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional accounting and financial services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to clients on financial planning and budgeting.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Associate's degree in Accounting plus 2 years experience, or 5+ years experience at an accounting firm with increased responsibility.
  • In-depth working knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software - Desktop and online.
  • Advanced experience with the monthly accounting cycle - A/P, A/R, payroll, excise returns, balance sheet accounts reconciliation, clean-up of complete business books.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – both written and in-person.
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented to follow through accurately and efficiently with ease and professionalism.
  • Must satisfactorily pass a background and credit check.
  • Must be passionate about the success of others.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current QuickBooks Pro Advisor Certification - desktop and online.
  • Familiarity with various accounting applications such as Jetpack, Gusto, Square, Swizznet, T-sheets.
  • Experience with small business financial reporting analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience with setting up or streamlining accounting systems.
  • Ability to supervise others and oversee an assigned book of business.
