POSITION SUMMARY: The Automotive Service Consultant plays a crucial role in managing service appointments and promoting additional services to our clientele.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure Customer Satisfaction
  • Uphold the standard for hours per customer service order
  • Welcome customers promptly and courteously, keeping them informed of wait times
  • Engage with customers to identify their vehicle issues
  • Gather precise customer and vehicle information
  • Conduct test drives when necessary
  • Advise customers on vehicle maintenance and the importance of adhering to manufacturer guidelines
  • Inspect vehicles for potential additional repair needs
  • Clearly communicate any required repairs and document them accurately
  • Notify the service team of incoming tasks
  • Provide estimates for labor and parts, following up with customers for approval if needed
  • Confirm payment methods and secure necessary approvals
  • Obtain customer signatures on service orders and provide copies
  • Monitor the progress of each service order throughout the day
  • Contact customers regarding any changes in service time estimates
  • Handle inquiries about ongoing work and appointments
  • Review final invoices against original service orders
  • Analyze quality control reports to ensure services meet expectations
  • Deliver vehicles to customers and address any questions
  • Maintain a follow-up program for additional repairs identified
  • Participate in scheduled meetings
  • Foster strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business
  • Ensure cleanliness in work and customer areas

QUALIFICATIONS:
