Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and caring individual to fill the position of Residential Instructor at Community Residences. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality care and support to our clients, promoting their overall well-being and independence.

About the Role

The Residential Instructor will be responsible for assisting clients with daily tasks, such as meal preparation and laundry, while also ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the living environment. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement behavior modification plans to promote client growth and development
  • Assist clients with personal care activities, such as bathing and dressing
  • Prepare and serve meals, as well as assist with grocery shopping
  • Maintain accurate records of client behavior and progress
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • An associate's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
  • One year of experience in the human services field, preferably in a residential setting
  • Training in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
