About the Role

The Floyd Light SUN Site Manager is a key position at El Programa Hispano Católico, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Schools Uniting Neighborhoods (SUN) Community School program at their assigned site. This program is a partnership between Multnomah County, the School District, and El Programa Hispano Católico, aiming to develop school-based programs addressing academics, enrichment, recreation, and social service needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Oversight & Management: Design and implement the SUN Community School Extended-Day and Summer programming at the assigned school, aligning services of community partners, school-led, and SUN activities into a comprehensive model.
  • Program Development: Develop culturally diverse core services to address academic, enrichment, recreation, leadership, and social service needs.
  • Community Outreach: Lead community outreach efforts at the school, including events like Back to School Night and Family Nights.
  • Program Improvement: Develop improvement plans to adjust program delivery as necessary.
  • Financial Management: Oversee school site budget for program expenditures.
  • Data and Records: Complete accurate data entry and recordkeeping, ensuring compliance with State, Federal, and EPHC standards/guidelines of service-delivery and Code of Ethics.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bilingual and Biculturally Responsive: Must be bilingual (Spanish/English) and biculturally responsive.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing, in Spanish and English.
  • Education and Experience: Associate's degree in public service, social work, education, or a related field, or similar experience.
  • Supervisory Skills: Ability to demonstrate strong supervisory and coaching skills.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Ability to work well both independently and in a team setting, adapting well to a dynamic work environment.
Working Conditions

This position requires a flexible schedule, including after-school hours, weekends, and occasional travel for training, community partner meetings, and funder meetings. The Community On-Site (80% of time) involves leading Extended Day Program after school, supporting school teams, meeting with families, leading afterschool events, attending in-person trainings, community partner meetings, and funder meetings. In-office work (10% of time) is located at EPHC's office in Gresham, OR, and remote work from home (10% of time) may be allowed for administrative tasks.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position is $53,000, with a comprehensive benefits package including vacation and sick time benefits, 14 paid holidays, 90% employer-paid health insurance, 401k with employer match, and more.
