Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Shift Electrician to join our team at Veterans Prime, Inc. in Corpus Christi, TX.


This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, addressing a diverse range of trouble calls and collaborating closely with the Operations Team to resolve issues and maintain production timelines.


As a Shift Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, instrumentation, programming, and automation systems.



Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct emergent electrical repairs, troubleshooting, and modifying programming/automation to ensure uninterrupted production line operation.
  • Respond promptly to trouble calls and perform preventative maintenance tasks to uphold production efficiency.
  • Collaborate effectively with Operations to address and resolve electrical and automation issues.
  • Utilize software applications to troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).


Requirements
  • Troubleshooting skills of Motor Controller Cabinets, and Pressure, Flow and Temperature Instrumentation, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
  • Outstanding safety and attendance record.
  • Strong background in utilizing test equipment such as Multimeters (Flukes), O'scopes, and Profibus Addresser.
  • Military Experience, Civilian Certifications or Technical Degree in automation/control circuits, coupled with extensive experience in power distribution.
  • Proficiency in TIA Portal/Step 7/LogiCAD/XPact preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Prior experience with overhead bridge cranes is advantageous.
