As a Cooking Studio Porter, you will be an integral part of our culinary team, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen and cooking studio. You will work closely with our resident chef, culinary program manager, chef instructors, kitchen assistants, and guests to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Arrange table settings and workstations as advised by culinary staff.
  • Assist teammates in the preparation and setup of all cooking classes and events.
  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand.
  • Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in appropriate storage areas.
  • Maintain all kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Sweep and/or scrub counters, floors, and cupboards following every event/class.
  • Clean garbage cans with water or steam.
  • Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
  • Receive, store, and transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas.
  • Assist with loading and/or unloading food and supply delivery trucks.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by Resident Chef.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year dishwashing (including handwashing of knives, glassware) experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year kitchen experience preferred.
  • High-energy individual with a self-starter mentality.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as scheduled.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for 2-3 hours at a time.
  • Ability to reach, push, grab, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, etc. to retrieve and/or replenish merchandise or handle cooking equipment.
  • Ability to move and/or lift merchandise and/or kitchen equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong commitment to teamwork and customer responsiveness.
  • Superior organizational skills with ability to manage and execute multiple tasks with accuracy.
  • Close attention to detail.
  • Effective time management skills.
