Prime Margin Risk Manager

Marex, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Prime Margin Risk Manager to lead the development of a first-level risk management framework for the Prime Clearing business. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with control partners to ensure the correct risk framework is in place for client selection and overall business management.
Key Responsibilities:- Enhance Decision-Making: Optimize the Prime's risk-adjusted returns by enhancing the decision-making process for allocating financial resources.
- Risk Methodology Calibration: Collaborate with Risk and Credit teams to calibrate margin and risk methodologies.
- New Business Evaluation: Evaluate new business opportunities based on portfolio risk, strategy, client creditworthiness, return metrics, and other factors.
- Client Portfolio Review: Conduct daily reviews of client portfolios to assess risk levels and work with coverage teams to ensure compliance.
- Pricing Optimization: Periodically review client pricing to ensure targeted metrics are achieved and the risk-adjusted rate of return is acceptable.
- Resource Optimization: Review and optimize the utilization of scarce resources, including balance sheet and working capital.
- Return Targets: Work with control partners to develop return targets and ensure the client base is at or above these levels.
- Risk Dashboard: Collaborate with Product Management, Risk, and Technology teams to ensure the risk dashboard includes the required risk information and metrics for the client base.
- Compliance and Regulatory: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC, and other applicable exchanges.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaborative Team Player: Demonstrate a collaborative team player approach, being approachable, self-efficient, and influencing a positive work environment.
- Strategic Collaborator: Show strategic collaboration skills, with insight and agility, able to anticipate future challenges and ensure operational effectiveness.
- Technical Knowledge: Possess broad knowledge of Global Markets or Prime Services, including systems and business processes in use for Front, Mid, and Back-Office functions.
- Project Management: Demonstrate excellent project management skills, with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects under pressure.
- Minimum 5 Years of Experience: Minimum of five years of working within a Prime Brokerage Service role.
- Financial Markets Knowledge: Deep knowledge of Financial Markets and related systems, especially Equity Clearing/Prime Brokerage Services.
- Service Provider Experience: Experience working with service providers such as Broadridge (BPS) and BPS/a, HUMA (QlikView, WhiteBox Rapport, nPrinting), and others.
