About the Role

\

Applied Behavioral Services is seeking a skilled Behavioral Intervention Specialist to join our team. As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will be responsible for implementing individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention strategies under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention strategies under the supervision of a BCBA.\
  • Accurately collect and record data on client progress while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA/FERPA regulations.\
  • Manage student records and documentation, ensuring compliance with school settings standards.\
  • Collaborate with teachers, their supervisor (BCBA) and other school professionals to support clients' behavioral and developmental needs.\
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your expertise in behavior management and therapeutic techniques.\
  • Work closely with the BCBA to develop and implement effective treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each client.\
  • Provide supportive services to children with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental delays.\
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, and other stakeholders.\
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plans and program goals.\
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and evidence-based interventions.\
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all required documentation, including progress reports and data collection forms.\
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients and staff.\
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the BCBA or management team.\
  • Foster a culture of respect, empathy, and inclusivity within the organization.\
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote quality care and customer satisfaction.\
  • Participate in peer review and feedback to ensure high-quality services are delivered.\
  • Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies related to confidentiality, data protection, and client rights.\
  • Support the development and maintenance of relationships with community partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.\
  • Conduct home visits, phone calls, or other outreach activities to engage with clients and families.\
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing and admissions, to support business growth and development.\
  • Assist with special events, conferences, and training sessions as needed.\
  • Provide input on new initiatives, programs, and services to improve the overall quality of care.\
  • Promote a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the organization.\

Requirements

  • \
  • A minimum of an Associate's degree or 48 credit hours, as required by the Ohio Department of Education.\
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.\
  • A genuine passion for working with children with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental delays.\
  • A strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy principles and evidence-based interventions.\
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.\
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.\
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and situations.\
  • A willingness to learn and grow with the organization.\
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software applications.\
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.\
  • Familiarity with HIPAA/FERPA regulations and confidentiality protocols.\
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.\
  • Experience working with children with special needs or autism through volunteer work, employment, or other relevant experiences.\
