Position Overview:

The RAVEN Informatics II (RII) serves as a key resource in the realm of Cerner Millennium, known within Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation as the Records And Verification Electronic Network (RAVEN). This position provides essential support to pharmacists, nurses, clinicians, and village operations, addressing requests for enhancements and improvements. The RII is expected to exercise independent judgment in assessing requests for system modifications, evaluating their feasibility and appropriateness. This role may involve leading project teams and articulating a clear vision for project objectives. Additionally, the RII may participate in project planning, training, and educational initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's degree in a healthcare-related discipline preferred.
  • Professional Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a healthcare environment is necessary, demonstrating proficiency in facilitating collaboration and communication across departments.
  • Licensure and Certification: Current clinical licensure in the State of Alaska is required, as applicable. The selected candidate must successfully complete and maintain the necessary competencies for this role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using computers to access and manage electronic medical records is essential, along with familiarity with office equipment such as multi-line telephones, copiers, and fax machines.
