Position Overview:

The RAVEN Informatics II (RII) serves as a key resource in the utilization of the Cerner Millennium system, known within the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation as the Records And Verification Electronic Network (RAVEN). This position is instrumental in assisting healthcare professionals including pharmacists, nurses, and clinicians, as well as supporting village operations and behavioral health initiatives by addressing requests for system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit independent judgment in assessing requests for system modifications and determining their feasibility and appropriateness.
  • Lead or support project teams, effectively communicating the objectives and vision of various initiatives.
  • Engage in project planning, training, and educational activities as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the RAVEN Administrator.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree in a healthcare-related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a healthcare environment, demonstrating effective collaboration and communication across departments.
  • Licensure: Current clinical licensure in the State of Alaska, as applicable. The selected candidate must maintain competencies for this role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using electronic medical records and standard office equipment (e.g., multi-line telephone, copier, fax).
