Position Summary: The RAVEN Informatics II (RII) is an expert in many aspects of Cerner Millennium - referred to by YKHC as the Records And Verification Electronic Network (RAVEN). This role supports pharmacists, nurses, clinicians, village operations, behavioral health, etc. as a resource for requests for improvements. The RII demonstrates independent decision making as appropriate in evaluation of requests for system improvements and determines feasibility and advisability of system changes. The incumbent must be able to support or lead project teams and communicate a clear vision of the project's objectives. At times this individual will be involved in project planning, training, and education. The RII may be expected to complete other duties as assigned by the RAVEN Administrator. Position Qualifications: Minimum Education:Bachelor's degree. Master's degree in a health care related field preferred. Minimum Experience:Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a healthcare setting. Demonstrate able experience facilitating intradepartmental collaboration and communication. License, Certification and Registration:Current clinical licensure in the State of Alaska (as applicable). The successful candidate will be required to pass and maintain competencies for this position. Equipment/Tools/Word-Aids:Must have computer skills necessary to access and manipulate electronic medical records. Office machines (i.e., multi-line telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.) Specialized Knowledge/Skills: Demonstrated skills in strategic and critical thinking, negotiation and relationship building. Exhibit the highest values of excellence, integrity, and innovation. Experienced with change management. Ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the practice as well as with vendors and other outside agents. Decisive, flexible, problem solver and results oriented with the ability and desire to achieve goals quickly. Proven leadership abilities and a comprehensive knowledge of healthcare information systems and advanced clinical system products. Understand hospitals and the importance of technology to improve patient care. Proactive in building consensus and delivering practical solutions. When individual job assignments are current and complete, supports co-workers by providing them with support or assistance with their work.
