UT Southwestern is seeking a dedicated Supervisor for the BMT - Cellular Therapy Insurance team within the BMT Program.
This position is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the capabilities of staff involved in insurance verification, prior authorization, and financial clearance processes for stem cell transplant and cellular therapy services. The role emphasizes fostering professional development, facilitating process enhancements, conducting orientation for new team members, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer leadership, direction, and support to team members in the areas of insurance verification and financial clearance
- Encourage professional development and accountability among staff
- Contribute to process optimization, staff training, and development initiatives
- Oversee nursing personnel and/or other non-licensed staff
- Facilitate onboarding processes for new employees
- Uphold performance benchmarks and ensure compliance with policies
- Manage special projects and produce relevant documentation
Qualifications
A Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in a healthcare-related discipline is required.
5-7 years of experience in medical intake and care coordination is essential.
