About the Role

As a Radiologic Technologist with Northeast Georgia Health System, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our imaging services team. Under the direction of a Radiologist and Supervisor, you will perform radiographic procedures with independence and ingenuity, applying ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Your responsibilities will include performing a variety of technical procedures, assuming responsibility for designated areas of procedures, and working with patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate radiographic equipment according to specifications and produce high-quality radiographs, adhering to infection control and safety practices.
  • Maintain work areas in a neat and orderly fashion, troubleshoot processing problems, and follow good radiation safety practices.
  • Produce quality images consistently within established protocols, maintain patient records, and assess patients according to exam orders with appropriate documentation.
  • Provide patient education pertinent to the exam being performed and document in patient records, ensuring compliance with RIS standards.
  • Meet productivity standards as defined by the department and perform non-technical duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Licensure or other certifications: ARRT Registry or Registry eligible with 1 year to provide proof of registered status.
  • Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum Experience: None specified.
  • Preferred Job Qualifications: One (1) year of experience, ARRT Program graduate or graduation eligible.
