Job Summary

The Markey Cancer Center at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine is seeking a highly qualified candidate for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant or tenured Associate Professor position with expertise in bioinformatics, including statistical, machine learning, and AI methods for immuno-oncology, single cell, spatial, and multi-omics research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pursue independent methodological research in bioinformatics and collaborate with basic science, clinical, and population-based investigators at the Markey Cancer Center.
  • Develop and teach courses in bioinformatics and related fields, and participate in education activities.
  • Contribute to the development of research programs and initiatives at the Markey Cancer Center.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. degree in biostatistics, computer science, bioinformatics, or a related field.
  • Strong methodologic and applied expertise in bioinformatics, including experience with statistical, machine learning, and AI methods.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a demonstrated record of referred publications.
