Job Summary

The Bioinformatics Analyst will utilize software and databases to collect, store, manipulate, and analyze clinical and research data. This role will identify and resolve technical issues and propose upgrades to existing software. The analyst will work closely with senior lab members on deliverables and consult with senior staff and the Principal Investigator (PI) as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply bioinformatic skills to analyze NGS and other 'omics' data
  • Develop and implement software upgrades to improve data analysis capabilities
  • Collaborate with senior lab members to deliver high-quality results
  • Consult with senior staff and the PI on technical issues and project direction
Requirements

This position requires a strong foundation in bioinformatics, programming skills in R, Python, and/or C/C++, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. A Bachelor of Science degree followed by a Master's degree in Computer Science and/or Biology is preferred.
