Job Summary

The Bioinformatics Analyst plays a crucial role in our research team, utilizing software and databases to collect, store, manipulate, and analyze clinical and research data. This individual identifies and resolves technical issues, proposes upgrades to existing software, and works closely with senior lab members on deliverables. Key responsibilities include analyzing NGS and other 'omics' data using established tools and collaborating with senior staff and the Principal Investigator (PI).

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Basic bioinformatic skills
  • R, Python, and/or C/C++ programming skills
  • Independent thinking and decision-making
Preferred Education and Experience

A Bachelor of Science degree followed by a Master's in Computer Science and/or Biology is preferred. A strong understanding of both wet and dry lab approaches is essential.
