Responsibilities

An exceptional opportunity awaits for a full-time pediatric intensivist to become part of a dedicated 2.5-physician practice at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

  • EIRMC features 318 licensed beds with active adult stroke, heart, and trauma surgery services.
  • The Pediatric ICU is equipped with 6-beds, providing both medical and surgical capabilities (excluding cardiac surgery or transplant programs).
  • Operates under a closed-unit model with a committed nursing staff and a fully supported ancillary team, including child life specialists, pediatric nutritionists, pediatric-oriented pharmacists, and pediatric physical therapists participating in daily multidisciplinary rounds.
  • A strong, supportive community of general pediatricians and family medicine practitioners.
  • Level-II trauma center with over 100 pediatric trauma admissions annually.
  • Includes a 28-bed Level III-B NICU staffed by Pediatrix neonatologists, alongside a 10-bed Pediatric Unit managed by Pediatrix hospitalists, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Key responsibilities encompass admissions and patient management, as well as consultations with families and referring physicians.
  • Sub-specialty support includes pediatric neurology, cardiology, endocrinology, hematology/oncology, surgery, anesthesia, and ENT.
