Job Title: Toddler Teacher at Durango North Center

Join our team of dedicated professionals at Durango 4C Council (Tri-County Head Start) as a Toddler Teacher at our Durango North Center location. As a Toddler Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged birth to five years old.

About the Role:

This position is responsible for creating a safe and engaging classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development in young children. You will work closely with a team of experienced educators to plan and implement lesson plans, activities, and assessments that meet the unique needs of each child.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily care and supervision for children in the classroom
  • Plan and implement engaging lesson plans and activities that promote learning and development
  • Assess and document children's progress and development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective educational program
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to share information about their child's progress and development
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education degree preferred
  • Experience working with young children in a professional setting
  • Ability to obtain a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential within the first year of hire
  • Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Criminal background check required for hire
