Early Childhood Educator

Join Mount Washington Preschool and Child Care Center, Inc. as an Infant-Toddler Teacher and be part of a team dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children.
Job Summary:This role is responsible for creating a developmentally appropriate curriculum and implementing it in a way that promotes the cognitive, social, and emotional growth of infants and toddlers.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with co-teachers to plan and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of children aged 0-30 months.
- Assume responsibility for the classroom and ensure a safe and healthy environment for children.
- Provide responsive caregiving and support the Supervisor in maintaining a high-quality program that adheres to state licensing codes and NAEYC standards.
- Document children's developmental growth and maintain a healthy and safe indoor and outdoor environment.
- Perform periodic parent conferences to discuss children's developmental growth, needs, and concerns.
- Model positive behavior, attitude, and language for children and employees.
- Attend all classroom and center meetings, as well as training workshops.
- Perform daily classroom operations, including setting up activities, transitions, and clean-up.
- Administer first aid to ill or injured children when necessary.
- Working toward an AA, BA, or MA in Early Childhood Development, Human Development, or a related field.
- 24 units in child development and 3 Infant/Toddler units.
- Certificates, licenses, and registrations required: CPR Infant & Child Certification, First Aid Certification, and current immunization shots.
- Computer skills required: Internet Software and Word Processing Software (Word).
- Adaptability, Attendance/Punctuality, Customer Service, Dependability, Diversity, Ethics, Initiative, Interpersonal Skills, Judgement, Motivation, Oral Communication, Planning/Organizing, Problem Solving, Professionalism, Quality, Safety and Security, Teamwork, Written Communication.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, utilize hand and finger dexterity, climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl.
- Continually required to talk or hear.
- Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and bloodborne and airborne pathogens or infectious materials.
