Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol and Secure the Premises: Patrol the building and surrounding areas to prevent and detect any security breaches or incidents.
  • Monitor and Authorize Access: Monitor and control access to the building, ensuring that only authorized personnel and visitors enter the premises.
  • Respond to Emergencies: Respond promptly and effectively to any security-related incidents or emergencies, including fires, medical emergencies, or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor Security Systems: Monitor and maintain the security systems, including cameras and alarms, to ensure that they are functioning properly.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patients, employees, and visitors, ensuring that they feel safe and secure in the building.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate and detailed records of security-related incidents, including reports and logs.
Requirements
  • NYS 8- and 16-hour Security Training Certificate: Possess a valid NYS 8- and 16-hour security training certificate, which must be renewed annually.
  • NYS Security License (Preferred): Possess a valid NYS security license, which is preferred but not required.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License: Possess a valid NYS driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
  • 1-3 Years of Security Experience: Have at least 1-3 years of experience as a security guard or in a related field.
