Mental Health Care Specialist

Felton Institute is a dynamic organization that provides innovative social services to the community.
We are seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to join our team, responsible for providing psychiatric evaluations, treatment, and monitoring of clients.
The ideal candidate will have a 4-year accredited residency in psychiatry and current eligibility to take the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology exam (ABPN), or already ABPN board-certified.
With a minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with chronically mentally ill and/or transitional age youth, you will work closely with Felton's senior leadership team to implement strategies that enhance client care and improve our medical & psychiatric practice.
The estimated salary for this role is $360,000 annually. Benefits include fully-paid medical and dental plans, health reimbursement card, paid time off, and 403B with company match.
In this position, you will exercise psychiatric responsibilities for psychiatric evaluation, treatment, and monitoring of clients, including ordering diagnostic tests as needed, providing supervision and support to Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, and Nurses, and completing performance reviews and signing their timesheets.
You will also be responsible for maintaining clinical records in accordance with mandated standards, consulting and providing on-going education to non-medical staff in psychopharmacology and medical aspects of patient care, and performing crisis interventions, supportive counseling, and other direct mental health services as needed.
