Job Description:

The Oil & Gas Landman is a critical role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, high attention to detail and accuracy, and proficiency in land management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities:

  1. Review and analyze leases, deeds, agreements, title opinions, contracts, and other ownership documentation to ensure data quality within the land management system.
  2. IDentify and resolve data discrepancies, maintain accurate records, and ensure a high level of data integrity.
  3. Manage and interpret oil and gas leases and contracts, including resolving legal ownership, acreage figures, payment amounts, and due dates.
  4. Suggest and draft required curative items based on title review and make recommendations for resolving title issues.
  5. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to land and title management.
  6. Work closely with internal teams, including legal, land, and operations, to support land acquisition and management activities.
  7. Prepare and maintain detailed reports on land and title activities, including ownership reports and title searches.
