The UVA Health oncology pharmacy team is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team in the areas of inpatient malignant hematology, bone marrow transplant, and cellular therapy.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in multidisciplinary teaching rounds on combined malignant hematology/BMT services
- Prepare, release, and coordinate chemotherapy and other anti-cancer orders for inpatient administration using Beacon
- Design and implement supportive care plans and treatment plans in Beacon for new therapies
- Provide patient/caregiver medication education and counseling
- Mentor and precept PGY2 oncology pharmacy residents, PGY1 pharmacy residents, and pharmacy students
- Contribute to interdisciplinary quality improvement initiatives and academic research
- PGY-1 residency required or equivalent hospital experience (3 years)
- PGY-2 residency preferred for specialty areas
- Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy license required
- American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider certification required
