The Lake Area Technical Institute Foundation is seeking a dedicated Heavy Equipment Technician. The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct maintenance and repair operations on a variety of vehicles and machinery.
Under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Technician will be tasked with performing routine maintenance; executing repairs; overhauling components; providing on-site service; and undertaking additional responsibilities as required.
This position may necessitate working beyond standard hours, including early mornings and weekends.Essential Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a two-year vocational or technical diploma in Heavy Repair, Diesel Mechanics, or a related discipline.
A minimum of five years of experience in heavy machinery maintenance, mechanical repairs, or a comparable field is required; alternatively, any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that equips the candidate with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for this role will be considered.
Candidates must hold a Class "A" CDL upon hiring, and must either possess or be able to obtain a tanker endorsement, a Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspector certification, and CPR/First Aid certification within six months of employment.
This position is eligible for overtime and offers a competitive salary range along with a comprehensive benefits package. The position will remain open until filled.
