Job Description

ADM is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and repairing production equipment for all departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Disassemble and identify mechanical failures and perform repairs on production facilities equipment as required.
  • Perform preventative maintenance (PM) duties on production equipment, vehicles, locomotives, and material handling equipment.
  • Document time spent and parts used on projects by completing time records through the use of Maximo.
  • Install new equipment and align equipment for production use as required.
  • Rebuild pumps, motors, seals, gearboxes, and similar production equipment.
  • Provide work direction to less experienced Maintenance Mechanics or assist in training.
  • Participate in Daily Safety Toolbox Talks.
  • Perform emergency/repair welding tasks as required.
Requirements:
  • Post-Secondary mechanical education (preferred).
  • Complete all on-the-job training books along with web-based training to be a fully qualified Mechanic II.
  • Become CPR/First Aid qualified.
  • Participate in the Respirator program (preferred).
  • Willing and able to perform tasks at high elevations.
  • Identify, understand, and have the ability to communicate plant hazards with others.
  • Complete all required safety training and follow and display knowledge of all safety procedures.
  • Have a general understanding of how to use a computer and email.
  • Communicate effectively through speech and writing along with other mediums such as email.
  • Must stay motivated and show initiative to complete tasks under limited supervision.
  • Display quality work through strong attention to detail.
  • Work with a team orientation by coordinating efforts with colleagues to complete tasks effectively.
  • Work overtime as necessary, including nights and weekends.
  • Provide shift coverage.
  • Meet requests of supervision, including but not limited to the essential functions listed.
  • Utilize trucks, forklifts, computers, hand tools, testing equipment, JLG lifts, wiring, rigging, and other tools or equipment correctly.
  • Able to meet physical requirements and perform duties in working conditions listed.
