In this role, you will have the opportunity to join our Ground Transportation Division as a Senior Project Engineer. Based out of one of our New England offices (Portsmouth, NH, Manchester, NH, Yarmouth, ME, Burlington, VT, Chelmsford, MA), you will be responsible for leading a team of transportation design professionals who are committed to building strong and lasting relationships with our clients.

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, flexible schedule, and remote work options, as well as a lucrative sign-on bonus.

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will:

  • Hold the lead role in an integrated, multi-discipline team that solves technical project challenges of all types
  • Understand project budget, scope of services, project schedule, and project development
  • Be a primary contributor or author of the development of technical and price proposals
  • Monitor and review spent hours and dollars versus percent complete in relation to project timelines and budget and provide recommendations to the Project Manager to stay on track
  • Understand the client's organization and develop professional relationships with client peers
  • Manage engineering staff and prioritize technical tasks to meet changes in schedule or resource availability
  • Be proficient in technical writing, editing, and presentations
  • Identify areas of improvement and regularly shares best practices and/or improve processes
  • Develop person-hour estimates and budgets
  • Act as a technical lead and demonstrate a specialized skill in a subject matter or application
  • Potentially be the primary team member responsible for overall quality control of the project

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required, Master's Degree preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Current PE license in NH, MA, ME, or VT
  • Experience with multiple engineering programs
