Position Overview:

This role is designed for individuals looking for part-time employment, offering between 20 to 35 hours of work each week.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
  2. Collect and dispose of waste from various areas including offices and restrooms.
  3. Ensure restrooms are clean and well-stocked.
  4. Polish and clean furniture and fixtures.
  5. Wash windows and mirrors using appropriate cleaning solutions.
  6. Dust surfaces, walls, and equipment thoroughly.
  7. Operate large floor scrubbers for industrial cleaning tasks.
  8. Prepare cleaning solutions by mixing water with detergents as per guidelines.
  9. Shampoo carpets and steam-clean as necessary.
  10. Strip, seal, and polish floors to maintain their appearance.
  11. Follow safety protocols while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  12. Assist in moving heavy items as required.
  13. Clear snow from pathways during winter months.
  14. Advise on cleaning supplies and equipment needs.
  15. Set up and take down event spaces as needed.
  16. Adapt work hours for special cleaning projects as necessary.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, though not mandatory. Previous experience in cleaning roles is advantageous, ideally within manufacturing or industrial environments.

Applicants should possess:

  • A solid understanding of cleaning tools and chemicals.
  • The ability to safely handle various cleaning agents.
  • A commitment to thoroughness and attention to detail in all cleaning tasks.
