We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Underwriter/Broker to join our team at Risk Placement Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for underwriting, servicing, and managing assigned accounts.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Underwriter/Broker Senior in servicing and operational management of accounts.
- Underwrite individual insurance applications to cover property and casualty with guidelines set for the issuance of policies on a standard or substandard basis.
- Determine whether to accept, modify or decline a risk through evaluation of the property's value, location, usage, and safety features, and other information pertinent to the decision.
- Have frequent contact with field to gather information on which to base and defend underwriting decisions.
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications and Microsoft Office.
