Job Overview

Nixon Power Services is seeking a skilled Generator Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the high-quality and timely service of our standby generator systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance on generator systems to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance
  • Troubleshoot and repair gas and diesel engines, as well as transfer switches and other equipment
  • Install and test new generator units, and respond quickly to emergency situations
  • Complete and submit work orders and reports in a timely manner, and provide accurate quotes for repairs
  • Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical school certificate or military training a plus
  • 1-5 years of experience in generator maintenance and repair, with experience in Kohler Power Systems a strong asset
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
