About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Landscape Architect and Project Manager to join our Community Development Team in Irvine, California. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing projects, assisting with designs, construction documents, and construction administration in California.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project management and oversight of project scoping, concept design, and construction administration.
  • Preparation and assistance with proposal preparation from internal clients and other disciplines.
  • Overseeing and managing support staff on projects.
  • Staff mentorship and inter-office collaboration.
  • Client relationships and client-facing responsibility on key assignments.
  • Developing creative solutions and quality control review on documents.
  • Business development experience is required.
Qualifications
  • Licensed Landscape Architect in California.
  • Experience with public and private sectors in major Southern California Cities and Counties, including LA County.
  • Demonstrated responsibility, maturity, and commitment to a team-driven environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, lead teams, develop strong internal relationships, and foster a culture of collaboration.
  • Excellent creative and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to integrate sustainability in all aspects of planning and design.
  • Well-versed in local, regional, and national trends in planning, landscape architecture, and urban design.
  • Ability to successfully scope and deliver multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Excellent verbal and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office; LandFX preferred but not required.
  • High-level understanding and working knowledge of GIS, Sketch-Up, or similar platforms at a supervisory level of effectiveness.
  • Possesses excellent time management skills and has a thorough understanding of task assignment and schedule, budgeting, and efficient use of time and resources.
  • Thorough understanding of codes, legal, and design requirements in relevant jurisdictions and how they apply to design projects.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Good driving record and valid driver's license required.
Education and Experience

Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited Landscape Architecture program. Minimum 10 years of experience.

Work Environment

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
