Job Title: Director of Legal Affairs

At Snipebridge, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Legal Affairs to join our team. As the in-house counsel, you will be responsible for providing legal guidance and support to our architectural design practice.

Job Summary

The Director of Legal Affairs will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating contracts, communicating with clients and consultants, and providing recommendations and revisions as needed. You will also be responsible for managing contract documents, ensuring compliance, and tracking contract status.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and negotiate contracts according to internal policies and processes
  • Communicate with clients, consultants, and attorneys during negotiation process
  • Provide recommendations and revise agreements as needed
  • Manage contract documents and provide updates to administration
  • Ensure compliance and track contract status
  • Review agreements for language and grammar
  • Collaborate with legal counsel and other teams to monitor projects
  • Analyze agreements and recommend changes or new forms
  • Maintain positive client relations during negotiation
  • Resolve conflicts in negotiation process
  • Handle insurance-related responsibilities for the firm
  • Manage state registrations and business licenses

Requirements:

  • Law degree is required
  • 12+ years of related work experience and has been a legal counsel for a company of more than 300+ employees (familiarity with AIA documents and contracts is a plus)
  • Clear and concise written, verbal and email communication skills are required
  • Intermediate user of Outlook, Word and Excel preferred
  • Able to independently manage time and prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines
  • Able to maintain a high level of discretion with confidential information
