Job Summary

ABM is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented School Custodian to join our team. As a School Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of assigned areas, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain buildings and facilities, including floors, walls, windows, and equipment
  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage
  • Notify management of the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, coworkers, and management
  • Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company and regulatory authorities
  • Perform incidental seasonal tasks, such as sweeping walks, raking leaves, and removing snow
  • Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas
  • Service, clean, and supply restrooms
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must meet all requirements to receive approval for working in specific ATS environments (if applicable)
  • No experience required, on-the-job training provided
  • No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Customer service experience
  • 1 year of similar work experience
