Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Traveling Floor Tech to join our team at ABM Industries. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our buildings.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor building security and safety by performing tasks such as locking doors after operating hours.
  • Drive vehicles (if required) to perform assigned scheduled work.
  • Pass background checks and MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) checks.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
  • Dust and polish light fixtures, ceilings, and furniture.
  • Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas.
  • Remove stains from surfaces using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
  • Mix cleaning solutions according to specifications.
  • Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
  • Clean and vacuum carpeted areas.
  • Gather and empty trash.
  • Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment.
  • Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
  • Service, deep clean, and supply restrooms.
  • Clean overhead vents, dust blinds, and polish wood furniture.
  • Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
  • Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must meet all requirements to receive approval for working in specific ATS environments (if applicable), including ten-year work history if available.
  • No experience required, and on-the-job training provided.
  • No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required.
  • Must be willing to travel overnight on the road a week at a time.
  • Must have a current driver's license with no restrictions.
