We are in search of a dynamic and results-oriented professional with robust Project Management expertise. This position is situated within the Research and Development Division and is not lab-based. The ideal candidate will possess experience in the Food and/or Personal Care sectors.

The primary responsibility of this role involves facilitating and managing projects throughout the product development lifecycle, from concept to market introduction.

You will work collaboratively with internal teams, cross-departmental colleagues, and external partners including vendors and suppliers.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for career advancement within the Natural Products Industry, particularly in pioneering product development for the Biodynamic sector.

Demeter Certified Biodynamic represents the oldest ecological certification, promoting a mindful, creative, and holistic farming approach that enhances organic standards through regenerative agricultural practices focused on soil health.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Organize and manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing them from ideation to launch using our project management software.


• Support the research and development of innovative and existing product ideas and trends in both International and US markets.

• Review technical documentation and ingredient lists to ensure compliance with specifications.

• Conduct competitive market analyses for new products to inform pricing strategies.

• Build and sustain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers.

• Oversee product development processes with vendors during formulation, pricing, and trial phases while ensuring adherence to project timelines.

• Collaborate with team members during internal development phases, including compliance documentation, label reviews, and design.

• Lead and present new product innovation workshops to internal stakeholders.

• Evaluate new samples and prototypes for designated characteristics while proactively identifying potential issues.

• Assess existing products for possible enhancements and initiate improvement actions as necessary.

• Review long and short-form descriptive materials for accuracy and emphasis.

• Occasional travel may be required.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:


• A minimum of 3 years of experience in relevant fields, particularly in the food sector, including natural products, food ingredients, or personal care industries in product research and development, merchandising, and brand marketing, or possess a relevant Associate or Bachelor of Science Degree, such as a Bachelor of Food Science.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with a keen attention to detail and follow-through.

• Proven experience in developing and maintaining professional business relationships.

• Proficient mathematical skills.

• Strong computer proficiency, particularly with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment, adaptable to project changes.

• Self-driven, motivated, and committed to ongoing professional development.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos, as well as articulate thoughts clearly in writing. Capable of presenting information in one-on-one and group settings. Exceptional verbal communication skills, particularly over the phone in a clear and professional manner.

COMPUTER PROFICIENCY:
To excel in this role, an individual should possess:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
