Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide security and safety services to hospital staff, visitors, and patients
  • Investigate incidents and conduct thorough investigations
  • Patrol hospital campus to ensure a safe environment
  • Project a professional image in communication, appearance, and conduct
  • Maintain a working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures
  • Stay up-to-date on security, emergency procedures, and environmental care standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in security operations or field experience in a law enforcement agency
  • Healthcare security experience preferred
  • Effective communication, interpersonal skills, organizational ability, and knowledge of proper body mechanics, safety measures, and infection control
  • Ability to follow instructions and meet the requirements of State Special Police
  • Strong verbal and written skills
