Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Systems Technician to join our team at Paladin Technologies. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining integrated security systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and terminate security equipment according to specifications and industry standards.
  • Test and troubleshoot security systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide training and support to apprentices and junior technicians.
  • Collaborate with field engineers to ensure complete system compliance.
  • Communicate effectively with installation supervisors to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Perform repairs, restorations, and testing of security systems as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and submit reports in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building and electrical codes.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the electronics field with daily use of AC/DC theory.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Office Suite.
  • Aptitude for learning system programming.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in a technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in the electronics field with daily use of AC/DC theory.
  • Proper hand and power tool operations and safety.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to organize workload for effective implementation.
  • Ability to complete projects on time and on budget.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Ability to interact effectively with diverse cultures and teams.
Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type on keyboard.
  • Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions
  • Exposed to outdoor weather conditions, work on job sites, and may be required to travel to and from job sites.
  • May work in a typical office environment.
  • Occasionally exposed to construction equipment.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
