Job Description

Ryder is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team in Grand Island, NE. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections
  • Interact with customers and drivers to determine the nature of complaints
  • Utilize shop management systems and electronic documentation
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
