Job Summary

Ryder System is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties, ensuring our fleet of heavy duty vehicles is in top condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer tools
  • Inspect and repair standard components, including engines, transmissions, and brakes
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure vehicles are in good working condition
  • Interact with customers and drivers to determine the nature of complaints and assign tasks
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
