We are seeking an exceptional Orthopedic Care Specialist to join our team at Medical Network of Alaska
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will assist patients in practicing exercises or functional activities, observing their progress and providing valuable insights to our physical therapists.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
- Collaborate with physical therapy staff to evaluate patient information, plan treatment, and modify as needed.
- Communicate effectively with caregivers and family members to ensure seamless care.
- Transport patients safely, lifting and transferring them according to positioning requirements.
- Administer manual therapeutic exercises, modalities, and treatments as prescribed by our physical therapists.
- Monitor equipment operation, record use, and administer treatment accordingly.
- Fits patients for orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices.
- Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- State of Alaska License required.
- CPR/First Aid Certification necessary.
- Must reside in or near Anchorage, Alaska.
- General knowledge of EMR software and Outlook Programs a plus.
- Ability to read, comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
- Competitive salary: $62,000 - $72,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- 15 days of paid time off, increasing after five years, plus six paid holidays.
