Job Summary

This role provides critical support to the Emergency Department and Hospital Medicine service by facilitating patient transfers and consultations. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and documentation skills, with a moderate understanding of hospital operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Triaging and dispatching teams to respond to emergencies within the hospital
  • Receiving reports and documenting information from patients coming from other healthcare facilities
  • Supporting hospitals within the southern Maine region with diversion announcements and coordinating responses to mass casualty incidents

Requirements

  • High school education preferred
  • EMS Certification or 5 years' healthcare experience with familiarity with healthcare terminology and hospital processes
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Effective communication and documentation skills
  • Proficiency in Epic Grand Central
