Job Title: Principal Power Electronics Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Power Electronics Engineer to join our team at Apex Systems. As a key member of our Electrical Distribution Division, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of advanced power electronics systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of power electronics systems, including converters, inverters, and FACTS devices.
  • Perform power electronic circuit design and board layout using PCB design software.
  • Conduct power flow, transient stability, reactive planning, and power electronics design and control studies using software programs such as PSIM, PLECS, Simulink, PSPICE, and others.
  • Provide technical leadership and consultation on power electronics design and development, including the application of active semiconductor switching devices and passive components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new technologies and solutions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum 10 years' experience in power electronics design and development.
  • Advanced knowledge of electric power systems and equipment operation and control.
  • Advanced knowledge of circuit and system analysis using computer simulation tools.
  • Intermediate knowledge of embedded system design and development environments.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and technical writing skills.
