At OpenArc, we are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Hardware Design Engineer to join our client's organization and contribute to their ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop world-class electronic sensors and control hardware for use in hazardous underground mining environments.
  • Collaborate with an experienced cross-disciplinary team to formulate and design innovative products.
  • Lead technical design activities on various hardware projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Participate in architecture and design reviews with internal teams and suppliers to ensure alignment and compliance.
  • Contribute to the development of electronic product readiness, including manufacturability, testing, and validation.

Requirements:

  • Experience in electronics hardware design, with expertise in digital circuit design, low-power analogue circuit design, and programmable logic design (FPGA).
  • Strong knowledge of schematic capture, PCB layout, and circuit analysis applications, including Altium and OrCAD.
  • Experience with electronic test equipment, such as logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-focused work environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with safety-critical system design and industry standards is a plus.
