Job Title: Counter Sales Associate

At Baker Distributing, we are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Counter Sales Associate to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and driving sales growth in our wholesale HVAC distributorship.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent Baker Distributing as a leader in the industry, ensuring maximum sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders, including sales teams, vendors, and contractors.
  • Responsible for showroom merchandising and re-stocking product, ensuring a visually appealing and well-organized sales area.
  • Assist in resolving customer relations problems, providing timely and effective solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Complete sales order processes, including up-selling associated items to increase revenue.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Utilize technical knowledge to research products, provide recommendations, and assist with sourcing and shipping parts, inventory control, and warranty administration.
  • Apply suggestive selling techniques and up-sell to current and prospective customers, driving sales growth and revenue.
  • Conduct outgoing customer sales or service calls, resolving customer complaints and providing solutions to meet customer needs.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong background in technical support, HVAC parts, and customer service/sales.
  • Intermediate MS Office capabilities and proficiency in speaking, reading, and understanding English.
  • Minimum 1+ year experience in a Counter Sales role, preferably in the HVAC industry.
  • Knowledge of air conditioning, heating, and ventilation equipment at a wholesale distribution level.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent customer service mindset, with the ability to develop long-term relationships.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong multitasking skills.
