Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a cooperative and high-achieving workplace culture.
  • Manage the planning, execution, and successful delivery of engineering projects while adhering to budgetary and scheduling requirements.
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including production, quality control, and supply chain, to enhance manufacturing workflows and ensure effective MRP system integration.
  • Establish and uphold engineering protocols, practices, and standards to guarantee uniformity and efficiency across all projects.
  • Evaluate and track critical performance indicators related to engineering projects, proactively addressing challenges and promoting ongoing improvement.
  • Encourage innovation and the adoption of new technologies within the engineering team, remaining informed about industry developments and advancements.
  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Provide advanced technical support to resolve intricate engineering issues and escalated challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing context, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in managing engineering projects from inception to completion, fulfilling technical specifications, budget limits, and deadlines.
  • Strong familiarity with MRP systems and their application in engineering and manufacturing operations.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication abilities, capable of inspiring and guiding teams toward shared objectives.
  • Experience with continuous improvement practices such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, evolving environment while effectively juggling multiple priorities.
