Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant II to join our team at Axelon Services Corporation. As a Medical Assistant II, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform basic and routine diagnostic laboratory procedures within certified labs in the school.
  • Prepare specimens and operate automated analyzers, as well as perform manual tests in accordance with detailed instructions.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of techniques, principles, and instrumentation, as well as the physiological conditions affecting test results.
  • Conduct or assist in special projects, evaluate new products and instrumentation, and perform quality control procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned, including checking schedules and organizing patient flow, accompanying patients to exam/procedure rooms, and assisting with vital signs and other tasks.
  • Assists physicians with various procedures, takes vital signs, and relays instructions to patients and families.
  • Fulfills clerical responsibilities as assigned, including sending and receiving patient medical records, obtaining lab/x-ray reports, and completing forms and requisitions as needed.
Requirements
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant or two (2) years relevant work experience preferred.
  • Excellent phone manners, flexibility, knowledge of computer data entry, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle diversified responsibility in a fast-paced environment.
