Position Overview:
Under general oversight, this role involves planning, assigning, directing, reviewing, and coordinating the activities of paraprofessional staff engaged in support functions within the Oakland County Women, Infants and Children's (WIC) program.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, coordinate, and actively participate in various clerical, laboratory (anthropometric and hematological), and nutrition counseling tasks (if state guidelines permit) in accordance with state and federal WIC regulations.
Manage the daily operations of an office or clinic setting, serving as a liaison between junior staff and administrative personnel. Utilize the MI-WIC client management system along with current county-wide and/or department-specific software to fulfill job responsibilities.

- Comprehensive work history documentation
- Incomplete applications in any form
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or a certificate of successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) Test.
- A minimum of six (6) years of relevant, full-time clerical, paraprofessional, or public health experience, including at least one (1) year in a supervisory or lead capacity.
Additional Notes:
College coursework from an accredited institution may be considered as a substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis, up to a four-year bachelor's degree. However, college coursework cannot replace the required year of supervisory or lead worker experience.
Transcripts:
If offered a position, an official transcript indicating the award date will be necessary as part of the hiring process. Transcripts from institutions outside the United States must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency by a NACES National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.
Work History Submission:
It is mandatory to include your work experience in the Work Experience Section of your NEOGOV application. If you have previously listed work history on a resume, it must be transferred into the Work Experience Section before applying.
